About the Journal

Cedigma Journal (ISSN 2966-1218) (DOI PREFIX 10.70430) is a multidisciplinary academic journal, published quarterly, focusing on original and unpublished scientific articles, book reviews, research notes and interviews. The journal accepts interdisciplinary contributions that address topics such as psychology, behavior analysis, palliative care, mourning, thanatology, mental health, health areas and human sciences, maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the scope of the journal. The published works are peer-reviewed, with the predominant participation of researchers from applied social sciences, health sciences and human sciences. The objective of the journal is to publish relevant content of a national nature.

The management of Cedigma Journal is the responsibility of Cedigma Publishing.

Publication Categories

The journal accepts manuscripts for publication in the following categories:

Original articles: results of empirical, theoretical, experimental or conceptual research (maximum of 10,000 words and five illustrations).

Research note: presentation of preliminary analyses of research whose results are relevant (maximum of 5,000 words and three illustrations).
Review: critique of books published in the last three years (maximum of 3,000 words).

Open Access Policy

Cedigma Journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public contributes to the greater global democratization of knowledge.

Cost Policy

The journal charges a publication fee (CDP) of R$ 170.00 BRL (one hundred and seventy reais) for Brazilian authors (Brazil), with up to six authors. Payment is made exclusively via PIX.

For the composition of digital books, the fee for registering the names of authors/collaborators is R$ 100.00 BRL (one hundred reais).

Copyright Policy

Authors hold the copyright to the articles, with Cedigma Journal offering the right of first publication. The journal does not restrict the management of copyrights by authors.

Privacy Policy

The copyright of the published articles belongs to the respective authors, with the first publication rights granted to Cedigma Journal. The articles are made available free of charge for educational and non-commercial use, with the obligation to acknowledge the authorship and original publication. The journal allows non-commercial use of the works, including submission to publicly accessible databases.

Peer Review Process

Cedigma Journal adopts a peer review system based on two sequential stages: Desk Review and Review by Referees.

Desk Review: The editors analyze the articles received, without identifying the authors, to assess their relevance to the scope of the journal and their contribution to knowledge in the area. If necessary, members of the scientific committee are involved.

Review by Referees: The articles approved in the Desk Review stage are sent to two selected external experts or researchers, who perform the evaluation using the Double Blind Review system.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Manuscripts submitted to Cedigma Journal are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software before being peer-reviewed. The journal adheres to the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (Committee on Publication Ethics, 2011).
